How it works

UAE Corporate Tax is charged on taxable income, not revenue. The calculator starts from your accounting profit, adds back expenses that are not deductible, removes exempt income and then applies any tax losses you are carrying forward.

The first AED 375,000 of taxable income is taxed at 0% and the rest at 9%. Losses brought forward can reduce taxable income by up to 75% in a period.

If your revenue is AED 3 million or less, you can elect Small Business Relief for tax periods ending on or before 31 December 2026. Your taxable income is then treated as nil, but you still need to register and file a return.

Questions

What is the UAE Corporate Tax rate?

0% on taxable income up to AED 375,000 and 9% on taxable income above that. Different rules apply to Qualifying Free Zone Persons and to large multinational groups.

Who can claim Small Business Relief?

Resident businesses with revenue of AED 3 million or less in the tax period and each earlier period, for tax periods ending on or before 31 December 2026. It must be elected in the tax return. Qualifying Free Zone Persons and members of large multinational groups cannot claim it.

Do I still need to register if I pay no Corporate Tax?

Yes. Taxable persons must register with the Federal Tax Authority and file a return even when the tax due is nil, including when Small Business Relief is elected.
